At Dairsie, there is an all age Sunday School, including Creche.

All children meet in the hall at 9.45am and come into Church for a brief talk near the end of the service.

At St John's, there are Sunday Children's and Youth Groups, as well as a Creche.

There is a large Children's Group and children are welcome from the age of 3 upwards.
All Nursery and primary school aged children meet together in the hall at 11.15am and then split into their individual groups as follows:

  • Bubbles       -  (Nursery Sunday School)    - Session Room
  • Pals             -  (Primary Sunday School)    - Hall
  • J4us            -  (Senior Sunday School)      - Hall. 

All  the youngsters join with the whole congregation for the last part of the service.

Sunday Club

The Sunday Club caters for Primary 6 and 7 age group  and all youngsters gather in the hall from 11.15 a.m. and join with the whole congregation for the last part of the service.

Sunday Squad (formerly Sunday Alternative!)

(for 1st year at High school and upwards)
The youngsters gather in the hall entrance from 11.15am and use the stage for various activities led by their leader Emma, before joining with the whole congregation for the last part of the service.  Sunday Squad often prepare drama for use in worship.

Choir at 11.15am

The choir leads the singing every Sunday and new members are always welcome
Practice time is from 10.30 a.m. on Sundays or as otherwise announced.

The Guild at Dairsie

The Guild meets monthly on Monday evenings at 7pm (Sept, Oct, Mar & Apr) and at 2pm (Nov - Feb). Dates can be found within weekly news. Location - Church Hall at Dairsie.

Over the summer, the Guild hosts monthly "Morning Coffees"  on the second Thursday of the month from 10-11.30am. Location - Church Hall at Dairsie

The Guild at St John's

The Guild meets on the first Thursday of the month at 2.15 p.m. Location - Church Hall at St John's.
New members are welcome - both women and men.

Prayer Group and Bible Study

The Prayer Group takes place fortnightly from 7.30pm in the Session Room at St John's, on Thursday evenings.

The Bible Study is from 8pm, following this meeting. We are currently looking at Professor William Barclay's Daily Bible Study on Luke's gospel.

Parent and toddlers group at St John's

This group meets every Thursday morning in the Hall from 9.45 a.m. Anyone with young children is welcome to have some time together. Toys and playmates are provided as well as tea/coffee (served by someone from the congregation) and an opportunity for parents or grandparents to chat.

Dairsie Tots Group

Meets every Wednesday during term time from 10-12noon in the Dairsie Memorial Village Hall

Ladies group at St John's

It is a very informal group, with minimum organisation (a committee of 3 which changes every 2 years).
The group meets once a month on Wednesday evenings at 7.30 p.m. with a variety of speakers.

Gardening group at St John's

This small group of people meet on a Friday morning at 8.30 a.m., to plant out the borders in the early summer and to cut the grass, weed and generally maintain the grounds, which are in a very prominent place in the centre of the town. A cup of coffee and home baking provides a welcome break.

Time Together

Meeting from 2-4pm at the hall at St John's, this is an opportunity for a chat, a game of Scrabble and a cup of tea. You can even bring along examples of your craft interests to work on. If you would prefer not to spend yet another afternoon alone then this is aimed at you. Also especially welcome is anyone coping with slight memory loss. Transport can be arranged. 

Drop-in at St.John's

This community group is to enable carers of dementia sufferers to have a place to come together for friendship and relaxation. They meet late morning on the last Friday of each month for soup and sandwiches.

Leisure group

A group of retired people meet weekly in the hall at St John's , on a Wednesday afternoon from 2-4pm, during the winter months. (Includes carpet bowls)

Hiring a hall

Justice & Peace

The local Justice and Peace group meets on the second Thursday of each month 7.30pm in St Columba's Church hall.

Cupar has been accepted as a Fair Trade town.
