Another cry for help from the Depute Treasurer;

  • Those who have chosen to support the Church financially by means of the Weekly Freewill Offering envelopes should expect to receive their pack of envelopes for 2010 within the next few days. Unfortunately, some of these envelopes have, unaccountably, gone astray.  If, therefore, you have not received your new pack of envelopes by the close of the service on Sunday 27th December, please get in touch with me as soon as possible. Colin Campbell-Brown, tel. 01334 652313 or leave a note in my 'pigeon hole' at St John's - second one in from the right hand end.  Thank you.

Souper Sunday

  • On Sunday 10th January 2010, churches all over Scotland will be marking "Souper Sunday".  This special fund raising day has been organised by the Church of Scotland HIV/AIDS Project (Charity No: SC011353). The day has been endorsed by the General Assembly of the Church of Scotland when congregations have a simple lunch of soup and bread following their service.  As a result of the service and the lunch it is hoped that all congregations will become more aware of the many issues surrounding HIVAIDS.  Cupar St John's and Dairsie United Parish Church will be holding a soup and bread lunch after the 11.15 am service in St John's hall.  We hope as many people as possible will come along and support this very worthwhile project.
