The Red Cross in Haiti

The Red Cross continues to fund relief in Haiti where so many still live in camps.  La Piste, in Port au Prince alone, is home to 40,000.  The main concern just now is to provide emergency shelter from the rains due in April. To this end, the Red Cross provide plastic sheeting, tarpaulins and tools.  In addition, a sanitation emergency response unit is based at the camp where they expect to remain for up to 4 months.

Outreach

The closing date for articles for the next edition of Outreach is today, Sunday 18th April.  It seems likely that we shall have to print and collate  "Outreach" once again "in house". We would like to have a list of volunteers from the congregation who can be called upon to do this.  If you can help please let Mary Campbell Brown know or put your name on the list in the organ corner in St. John's. Most of it is a sociable occasion. Details of what is involved are on the sheet in St. John's or see Mary Campbell Brown.
